Dental insurance strategy for practice owners

See what each of your plans really pays you, and join the networks your patients actually have.

InNetwork Dental compares your fees with your PPO fee schedules and with public and carrier-published fee data for your area, where available, tracks which dental carriers the big employers in your area use, and tells you which plans to keep, renegotiate, or drop. Then, if you want, we handle the credentialing and negotiations for you.

The problem

Don't fly blind on insurance

PPO participation is a big financial decision for a practice, and it's easy to set it once and never revisit it.

Low PPO reimbursements

Know when you last asked each PPO for a fee increase, and how your office fees compare with public and carrier-published fee data for your area, where available.

Missing local networks

When a large local employer switches dental carriers, some of your patients can end up out-of-network with you.

Credentialing hassle

Applications, CAQH updates, follow-ups, and recredentialing deadlines take front-office time, and they all have to be tracked.

Real examples from Texas
  • Texas statewide: State employees (ERS) moved dental from Delta Dental to Humana on Sept 1, 2026.
  • Corpus Christi: Calallen ISD moved employee dental to Cigna on Sept 1, 2026.
  • Austin: Austin ISD moved employee dental to Cigna on Jan 1, 2025.
  • Houston area: Pearland ISD moved employee dental from Humana to MetLife on Sept 1, 2026.

We research changes like these for large employers in your area.

Services

Data first, then action

Start with a one-time report, or hand us the whole process.

Local fee analysis

How your office fees compare with the PPO fee schedules you're contracted under and with public and carrier-published fee data for your area, where available, procedure by procedure, focused on the codes that matter most to your production.

Local employer dental-plan intelligence

Which dental carriers and networks the large employers near you use, including public employers, school districts, and major private employers, plus upcoming changes, so you know which networks are worth joining.

PPO Strategy

A data model of your own plans that weighs reimbursement, procedure volume by carrier, and local employer coverage to recommend which PPOs to keep, renegotiate, or drop.

Full Service: credentialing & fee negotiation

We prepare and track network applications, request fee schedule increases, and track recredentialing and renewal deadlines for you.

How it works

Four straightforward steps

Intro by email

Tell us about your practice: location, number of offices, and the plans you participate in.

Send summary reports

Run and export the reports we list for your software (fee schedules, procedure counts by CDT code, and dollar totals by carrier, where your software supports it), then email them. We'll email you the exact report list for your software. No data entry or redacting; if a report shows a patient name, don't send it.

Get your report

We deliver your fee comparison, local employer plan map, and (with PPO Strategy) plan-by-plan recommendations.

Act on it

Use the findings yourself, or have us handle credentialing, negotiations, and renewals with Full Service.

Email update at each step. You'll get an email update at each step, from submission to the carrier's decision, so you always know where things stand.

Live updates on request. Email us anytime and we'll reply with a current status update on any network application, negotiation, or report.

Built by a dentist

Made by a practice owner who deals with the same PPOs you do

InNetwork Dental was started by a practicing Texas dentist who owns multiple offices. Like every owner, they have to decide which plans to accept, what each one really pays, and how to keep up when local employers switch carriers.

The tools and process behind InNetwork Dental grew out of answering those questions for their own offices. The approach is data-driven: real fee schedules, real procedure mix, and real local employer coverage.

FAQ

Common questions

How long does credentialing take?

Each carrier sets its own credentialing timeline, and it can take months from a complete application to an effective date. We start early, track every application, and follow up, but we can't control carrier processing times.

Will you keep me updated along the way?

Yes. You'll get an email update at each step, from submission to the carrier's decision, so you always know where things stand. And you can email us anytime: we'll reply with a current status update on any network application, negotiation, or report.

What do I still have to do myself?

As the provider, you sign all network contracts and fee schedule amendments, and you attest your CAQH profile. We prepare the paperwork, keep track of deadlines, and handle follow-up so your part takes as little time as possible.

Do you need my CAQH login?

CAQH: we register as your practice manager in the CAQH Provider Data Portal (formerly ProView) and add your providers to our list. We only enter practice information; each provider then imports it into their own profile, completes the rest, and attests. Never send us your CAQH password. Please include each provider's NPI in your intake email.

Do you need patient information? What about HIPAA?

We don't need patient information: we never request or accept it. The analysis only uses fee lists and totals: your office and PPO fee schedules, procedure counts by CDT code, and dollar totals by carrier. Your team doesn't do any data entry, counting, editing, or redacting: just run the reports we list for your software, export them, and email them. If a report shows a patient name, don't send it; just tell us which report it was. Please don't send patient names, dates of birth, or other protected health information.

Do you work with practices outside Texas?

The analysis is built around your local market. Tell us your location, specialty, and the carriers or programs you're in or considering at info@innetworkdental.com, and we'll confirm what we can help with.

Will you tell me to drop all my PPOs?

No. Recommendations depend on your numbers. For each plan, we recommend keeping, renegotiating, or dropping it, and we flag networks that local employers use.

Do you need Social Security numbers?

We never ask for Social Security numbers by email or otherwise. Providers keep them in their CAQH profile. If a carrier requires one outside CAQH, the provider enters it directly with the carrier. Everything else happens by email.

How long do you keep my data?

We delete the files you send us 90 days after final delivery (for Full Service, 90 days after the engagement ends), or sooner on request. We keep invoices, signed authorizations, consent records, and a copy of delivered reports as required by law. To ask for earlier deletion, email info@innetworkdental.com. We never share one client's data with another.

What format are the deliverables?

Deliverables are a PDF report and a spreadsheet you can open in Excel, Google Sheets, or any spreadsheet app. We send them by email.

Do you share data in benchmarks?

We don't currently offer combined benchmarks. If we ever do, we'll use your data only with your written consent and only in combined form that can't be traced to you. We never share one client's data with another.

What counts as a market area?

A market area is one city and its immediate area. Offices you own in the same city share one Market Report; offices in different cities each need their own. In a shared report, we do the local fee analysis for each office's fee schedule we receive. If your offices are in neighboring cities (for example, Plano and Frisco), email us your office addresses at info@innetworkdental.com and we'll confirm before you pay. PPO Strategy is priced per location and includes the Market Report for that location's area, with no separate Market Report charge.

How do I pay?

You're invoiced by email. There's no online checkout: click Get started or email us, and we'll confirm the package and send an invoice by email.

What's your refund policy?

You get a full refund anytime before we start work. Once a Market Report or PPO Strategy has been delivered, it is non-refundable. For Full Service, any application or fee negotiation we have not yet submitted is fully refunded. These refund terms are in our Terms of Service. For a question about a specific order, email info@innetworkdental.com.

Are you affiliated with any insurance company?

No. InNetwork Dental is independent and works for the dental practice. We aren't paid by carriers or networks.

Can you guarantee a fee increase or network acceptance?

No. Carriers make their own decisions about fee schedules and network participation. We make the strongest case we can with your data and handle the process, but outcomes aren't guaranteed.
